SALE will be play Mid Gippsland in the open semi-finals tomorrow night and Alberton in the 17 and under as the Eastern Region State League netball season draws toward a conclusion.
Finals are played in a sudden death format and only the two winners from both divisions will take their place in the grand final.
Sale’s open team will meet Mid Gippsland at the Churchill Leisure Centre from 8.30pm.
In the final round last week, Sale struggled to shake off Alberton but managed to come home strongly, winning 44-34.
Mid Gippsland scored a percentage-boosting final round over North Gippsland Black.
North Gippsland Red will take on Morwell in the other semi. Last time these teams met 120 goals were scored between them.
North Gippsland Red ended East Gippsland’s premiership defence with a 43-39 win last week.
DESPITE being pushed to defeat Alberton Blue 39-37 last week, Sale is favoured win its 17 and under semi-final tonight from 7pm against Alberton, who only snuck into the finals on percentage.
In the other semi, East Gippsland will look to avenge its only loss this season when it meets Mid Gippsland.
