Serious racing on April Fools’ Day

APRIL Fools’ Day racing will take place at Greenwattle Racecourse this Sunday, and that’s no joke.

In the two-year-old maiden race, Ian Hutchins has Danestroem entered. He has had a couple of trials after a 14-week spell and could be ready to show up.

Frankie Stockdale’s stable is well-represented with I Feel Good, who has earned more than $66,000 in prize money despite not having won a race. With Noel Callow in the saddle on Sunday this may be the day.

Unique Quality is nominated for the Showcase Class 1 over 1100 metres and with 62 kilograms, the choice of 4kg claiming apprentice Koby Jennings is understandable. Unique Assassin, also from the same stable, will go around in the two-year-old maiden with Callow on board.

Regular supporters of Sale racing Sally and Dianne Wynne have been having a great run lately and with The Dressmaker and Sensational Report entered, they may continue that luck.
