MAFFRA’S Mitchell Allman won the President’s Cup men’s singles at the Maffra Lawn Tennis Club Easter Tournament.
Allman defeated Tristan Salerno from Traralgon 10 games to four in the final.
Allman was joined by Jamie Kemp to win the A grade men’s doubles.
Matthew Pocklington from Leongatha won the Gippsland singles. Pocklington combined with Salerno to defeat Pakenham duo Daniel Axnick and Andrew Eckersley 10-4 in the Gippsland doubles final.
Stephanie Barnett from Bairnsdale won the President’s Cup women’s final, defeating top seed Kerrie Douglas from Melbourne 10-7. Barnett also won the Gippsland singles title.
Barnett and Lexie Joyce from Sale won the Gippsland doubles, defeating Kerry Coridas and Janette Ingram from Maffra 10-8 in the final.
More than 250 players entered the 86th running of the Easter tournament.
