Week off for Stratford

STRATFORD has the bye for round six of the East Gippsland Football-Netball League.

The bye comes after the Swans pushed current ladder leader Wy Yung all the way in a contest that at times was very physical. Stratford showed it will not be a side to be taken lightly in the clash, which was a curtain raiser to the Gippsland League night match between Bairnsdale and Maffra.

Wy Yung will look to hold top spot on the ladder when it travels to Lakes Entrance, while Lucknow and Paynesville, third and second on the ladder respectively, will battle.

Lindenow will hope to get the job done at home against the lowly Orbost-Snowy Rovers.

Victory to the Cats would see it climb into the top four at the expense of Lakes Entrance, should the Seagulls go down to ladder leaders Wy Yung.
