Frasca into repechage

THE Australian women’s quadruple sculls rowing team will have to compete in the repechage round to make the final at the London Olympics.

The team, featuring Sale’s Pauline Frasca, finished second in its heat to Ukraine on Saturday.

A top three finish in its repechage race tonight will put Australia into the final, which will be held Friday night (Australian time).

Longford shooter Keith Ferguson begins his first Olympic campaign tonight in the qualifiers for the men’s skeet. The top six of the 36 competitors will progress to tomorrow’s final.
