Ferguson finishes 20th in London

LONGFORD shooter Keith Ferguson last night finished 20th in the men’s skeet at the London Olympics.

After scoring 70 from a possible 75 on day one of qualification on Monday night (Australian time), the 32-year-old shot rounds of 22 and 24 last night to finish with a total score of 116, just four shots outside the top six, which would have put him in the final round.

US Army Sergeant Vincent Hancock broke his own Olympic record to defend his title from Beijing, the first shooter to win back-to-back Olympic titles in skeet.

Tonight from 7.20pm, the Australian women’s quad sculls team of Pauline Frasca from Sale, Dana Faletic, Kerry Hore and Amy Clay will row for gold in the final.
