Final four set to thrill

MINOR premier Wy Yung will take on reigning premier Lindenow in the East Gippsland football second semi-final tomorrow, while Paynesville will play Lucknow in Sunday’s first semi-final.

Both matches will be played at Bairnsdale City Oval, with Lindenow set to take some momentum into the second semi following its 52-point win over the Tigers last weekend.

Early competition front runner Paynesville will have used the week off to freshen up, but will face Lucknow in a do-or-die clash in the first semi-final.

The Magpies have finished the season strongly, which included a comfortable victory over the Gulls two weeks ago.

WITH Stratford’s senior football side finishing fifth, just six points behind Lucknow, to miss out on playing finals, the Swans’ reserves and under 18s will both take on both Lakes Entrance in second semi-finals.
