Hoping for better weather

FOLLOWING last weekend’s wash-out, local cricketers will be keen to get a decent hit-out tomorrow.

Although the weather forecast is for a shower or two, there is hope of getting some results in round two of Sale-Maffra cricket.

With so few overs bowled last week, it is hard to get a formline.

Another Sale derby

AFTER just eight balls were possible against Sale, Collegians will host another Sale side tomorrow, this time Sale City.

Looking at blooding youth this season among some experienced players, a win against Sale City will give them some early confidence.

This match could provide the Lizards will a good test of where it’s at as far as making the finals is concerned.

The Lizards were steady early against Rosedale-Kilmany, reaching 0-31 off 12 overs, though 13 of those runs came from extras.

ROSEDALE-Kilmany will host Stratford in what appears to be an open contest.

With a team to push for a top four spot, the Warriors would see this match against Stratford as winnable.

A finalist for the past seven seasons, Stratford will be looking to make a statement against a possible finals contender.

IN other matches, Bundalaguah will host Sale in what could be a test for the young visiting side, and Maffra will travel north to play Boisdale-Briagolong.
