Look for horses with form on softer tracks

AFTER the recent rain, punters will need to look for horses which run well on softer tracks for Friday’s race meeting at Greenwattle.

The first of the eight races is at 1pm.

Bally Tambo for Mario Farrugia gets his chance in race two over 1600 metres, although Tiki will be very hard to beat. Farrugia also has Come On Bill, who continues to race well, in race four, and Tanjil in race six.

Last start winners Haka Brave (trained by Cliff Murray) and Incorruptible (Rebecca Kelly) are set to do battle in race five.

Apprentice Patrick Moloney will partner Incorruptible which was scratched from Bairnsdale on Tuesday for this event although he hasn’t seen slow ground.

Haka Brave was a narrow winner at Bairnsdale and he doesn’t seem to mind any track surface.

Local trainers make up half the field in race seven – Nereus and Derrynane (Sharyn Trolove), Unique Ruler (Frankie Stockdale) and Primo Lago for Des Douch as well as Chad for Farrugia.
