CCS out of Marist contention

CATHOLIC College Sale is out of contention to win the Marist Cricket Carnival after two consecutive loses.

After winnings its opening two matches, CCS lost to Marist College Canberra at Rosedale on Friday.

Cormack Hassett scored 44 and Mitch Evans 31 as CCS was bowled out for 128. Canberra then scored 4-131.

On Sunday, after a rest day on Saturday, CCS lost to Notre Dame Shepparton at Briagolong.

Hassett continued his good batting form, scoring 77, while Jayden Allison made 34 as CCS made 165, a score Shepparton passed in the 44th over with five wickets in hand.

The carnival concludes today with CCS playing at Maffra against Sacred Heart Adelaide.
