DANIEL Bedggood continued his good form with the bat to help Bundalaguah defeat Boisdale-Briagolong at home during the second round of Sale-Maffra twenty20 cricket on Tuesday.
After making an unbeaten 100 on Saturday, Bedggood scored 65 as the Bulls made 6-136 in reply to the Saints’ 6-121. Liam Hurst took 2-16.
Earlier for the Saints, Mick Roberts scored 66 and captain Dylan Bolton 28, while Mick Jones took 2-9 for the Bulls.
SALE opened its account with victory over Sale City.
The Swans scored 8-112 with captain Ian Wrigglesworth scoring 38, Nick Watt 28 and Ben Jones 23.
The Lizards finished four runs short, 9-108, with Lucas Mowat, Jones and Watt taking two wickets each.
STRATFORD defeated Maffra in another close match. The Redsocks scored 9-134 with Sam Bristow making 38 and captain Jack Tatterson 36. Nathan Magnuson, Jonathan Dovey, Josh Davis and Brenton Dinsdale claimed two wickets each for Maffra.
Maffra captain Brett Lanigan gave his side’s innings a good start, scoring 44, but was dismissed with the Eagles still needing another 52 runs to win. With 26, Nathan Magnuson did his best to get the Eagles over the line, but they finished their 20 overs on 7-129.
Simon Williams took 2-26 for Stratford.
