SALE will begin its Gippsland League football premiership defence at home against Traralgon.
The Magpies will unfurl their 2012 flag ahead of their round one match on Saturday, April 13. In round two the Magpies will head to Leongatha.
Maffra will begin the season at Moe before hosting Bairnsdale on Sunday, April 21.
The first of this season’s “Battle of the Birds” will be held at Maffra on Sunday, June 2 with the other at Sale on Sunday, August 10.
Sale will play Saturday night home games against Bairnsdale in round six and Morwell in the final round. The only other night game will be at Leongatha against Wonthaggi, while Warragul will host Traralgon in a Saturday twilight clash.
The Gippsland League will meet the Yarra Valley-Mountain District league in the VCFL Championships at Moe on May 25.
The grand final will be played on September 21.
