Sale Quality this Sunday

THE annual Sale Quality race meeting will be conducted at Greenwattle Racecourse this Sunday.

As well as the Quality, there will be plenty of action in the supporting races. The running rail will be back in the true position which will mean the inside six metres will be fresh ground.

Rebecca Kelly has first starter Ice To The Rim in the three-year-old maiden plate, but is taking on some smart horses, including the well-named Peter Moody-trained Monbazillac, being by Fastnet Rock from Best French.

Nominations for the $75,000 Quality over 1200 metres look excellent with entries including New York, trained by Allison Bennett, who knows what it takes to win a Quality having been successful in 2011 with King Hoaks. New York will be ridden by Chris Symons, who is back riding after injury.

Frankie Stockdale has accepted with Unique Quality which will be down on the minimum weight and ridden by Dean Holland.

Activities for children include a jumping castle and playground and there will be a display from the Gippsland Vehicle Collection with a number of vintage cars.
