Home draw for Sale United

SALE United drew 2-2 at home against Moe United during round two of the Gippsland Soccer League.

Jon Piefke and Ashley Ross scored for the Swans, while Moe’s goals came through Sam Lietzau and Adrian Savage.

The draw keeps Sale United in the top four ahead of its match on April 7 against Fortuna in Morwell. The game will be a rematch of last season’s thrilling semi-final, which Fortuna won with a late goal.

Churchill United is the only side to have won both its matches after a 4-0 win over Falcons.

Results: Churchill United 4-0 Falcons, Newborough-Yallourn United 1-2 Traralgon Olympians, Sale United 2-2 Moe United, Traralgon City 2-2 Monash, Tyers 0-5 Fortuna.
