Maffra race day Sunday

SUNDAY marks the end of daylight saving as well as the first race meeting for April at Greenwattle.

It will be Maffra Day, and as usual, the local community really gets behind its meeting.

Red Mint, trained by Sharyn Trolove, is entered for the 1100 metre maiden and looks to be an improver after a game second at Bairnsdale.

Pat Carey likes to run his up and coming young stayers at Sale and Persinette is no exception.

Uno No, who scored first up at Bairnsdale for Ian Hutchins, and Moss Magic, for Rebecca Kelly, are local entries with chances in the 0-68 handicap.

Sale trainer Paul Worthington has two up and coming performers entered in Tarago Prospector and Tarago Storm as well as the speedy Nellie’s Joy.
