Both teams then scored two runs in the third.
The Sale bats were still running hot but in the fourth, three out of four hits were caught without scoring, while Churchill scored six.
Sale left two runners in scoring position in the fifth inning, while Churchill scored one from a Mat Prior home run.
In the sixth, the Ranges again left two runners in scoring position, before Churchill scored six more to give it a 15-5 lead. The scores were unchanged after the seventh innings with Sale leaving another runner on base.
Andrew Johnston had three hits with two each from Will Hector and James Jackson.
In the other A grade match, Traralgon defeated Moe-Newborough 19-7.
