Swans to host ladder leader

THE Gippsland Soccer League season resumes this weekend with Sale United hosting ladder leader Churchill United on Sunday.

In a match between two undefeated teams, the Rams will provide the Swans will their biggest test of the season.

The home side will need to in particular look to contain Paul Reiss, who has kicked 11 goals from just five matches.

In other matches on Sunday, Newborough-Yallourn United will host Fortuna, Monash will head to Moe and Tyers will be at home against Traralgon City.

Tomorrow night, Traralgon Olympians will host Falcons.

LAST weekend the first round of the Battle of Britain Cup was held.

In the only two matches, Falcons defeated Tyers 3-0 and Monash defeated Newborough-Yallourn 2-1.

Round two will be played on June 16, with Sale United to play Traralgon Olympians.
