Cougars win grand final rematch

NORTH Gippsland netball premier Churchill claimed the honours in the grand final rematch against Rosedale.

The Cougars defeated a competitive Blues line-up 49-38 for their fifth win of the season.

Cowwarr registered its second consecutive win with a comfortable 60-32 victory over the winless Sale City.

Second-placed Woodside was forced to work hard for the points against third-placed Heyfield. The contest offered plenty with the Wildcats using their home court advantage to win 44-29.

Traralgon-Tyers United proved too strong for fellow Bombers Boisdale-Briagolong.

On Sunday, Gormandale outfit outplayed Glengarry.

STRATFORD moved to the top of the East Gippsland ladder after winning the top of the table clash against Wy Yung 42-48.

Lucknow defeated bottom-placed Paynesville 56-41 and Orbost-Snowy Rovers defeated Lindenow 28-16. Lakes Entrance had the bye.
