Heyfield accounted for Cowwarr, who showed it is not an easy beat, making the Kangaroos work hard for the four points.

Rosedale caused the upset of the round with a six-goal victory over Woodside, 45-39.

Traralgon-Tyers United was too strong for Sale City, winning 70-25.

STRATFORD maintained top spot on the East Gippsland ladder with a 46-33 win at Lakes Entrance.

Second-placed Wy Yung defeated Lindenow 32-20 and Orbost-Snowy Rovers had a 51-35 win over Paynesville.
