Churchill on track for clean sweep

REIGNING North Gippsland netball premier Churchill appears poised to make it a clean sweep in the opening half of the fixture.

The Cougars recorded a 36-goal victory over bottom of the table Sale City on Sunday.

Second-placed Gormandale was a narrow victor over third-placed Heyfield after a tight physical contest which offered spectators plenty.

Cowwarr took it up to their higher ranked opponent Traralgon-Tyers United, who held on in a nail biting win, 39-37.

Rosedale made easy pickings of Boisdale-Briagolong, winning 59-19, while Woodside defeated Glengarry 53-37.

Swans defeat Cats

STRATFORD maintained its lead on top of the East Gippsland ladder with a 40-18 win at Lindenow.

The Swans are two points ahead of second-placed Lucknow, who defeated Wy Yung 38-33.

In the other match, Lakes Entrance was too strong for Paynesville, winning 54-39.
