Rangers struck out

MAT Prior threw 10 strike-outs as the Churchill Braves defeated the Sale Rangers 11-1 last weekend in Latrobe Valley baseball.

Coming off inflicting the first loss of the season on ladder leader Traralgon, the Braves scored nine runs before the visitors were able to score their only run in the eighth and final inning.

Prior did a great job restricting the Sale batters.

The Braves recorded 11 hits to the Rangers’ three, while six errors didn’t help the visitors’ cause.

Traralgon returned to the winners’ list with a 7-3 home win against the Moe-Newborough Dodgers.

This Sunday, the Rangers will host the Redsox, while the Braves will play the Dodgers at Morwell.
