Swans’ lead extended

STRATFORD’S lead on top of the East Gippsland netball ladder has been extended to 10 points.

The Swans defeated Lindenow 43-20 at home with Melissa Dean, Simone Turner and Katheryn Coster their best.

Second-placed Lucknow lost to third-placed Wy Yung 41-29, while fourth-placed Lakes Entrance defeated Paynesville 35-24.

Orbost-Snowy Rovers had the bye.

TTU into top five

MAKING its run towards finals, Traralgon-Tyers United moved into the North Gippsland netball top five with a comprehensive 40-goal victory over Sale City.

Rosedale and Woodside contested a classic contest which saw the Blues hold sway 37-34.

Gormandale had few problems against Boisdale-Briagolong winning comfortably 74-17.

Heyfield off a gallant Cowwarr, winning by two goals.

Churchill maintained its hold on top spot, accounting for Glengarry.
