SALE will play Traralgon in the Gippsland League under 16 football grand final after an 18-point preliminary final win over Moe.

The Magpies had to work hard for the grand final berth against Moe side which came to play.

The Magpies led by two points at quarter-time but the Lions fought back to lead by 14 at half-time.

Sale booted four goals to one in the third term to lead by five points at the final change. The Magpies went on to win 8.11 (59) to 5.11 (41).

Sale’s best were Charlie Walsh, Brad Dessent, Jordan Sabell, Bailey Tatnell, Brendan Brew and Will Leslie.

IN the under 18s, Bairnsdale led Sale at every change to win 10.9 (69) 6.9 (45).

The Magpies’ best were Sam Tselepis, Jake Thomas, Jayden Allison, Jake Meade, Sam Allen and Ben Jones.

The Redlegs will play Traralgon in the grand final.

WONTHAGGI set-up a reserves grand final against Warragul with a 13.9 (87) to 9.4 (58) win over Morwell.

Scores were level at half-time before the Power kicked seven goals to three in the second half.
