SALE United will play Monash for the Gippsland Soccer League premiership on Saturday night.
The grand final will feature two young, quick teams doing battle for their first piece of senior silverware in 30 years.
The Swans advanced to the big game after upsetting champion Moe United 2-0 last Sunday at Moe.
In the second half, Jon Piekfe put the Swans in front with a goal before Tommy Nguyen made sure of the win late in the match.
In a day of semi-final upsets, Monash withstood a late barrage to defeat second-placed Churchill United.
Ty Christy put the Generals in front with a first half goal before league leading goal scorer Ash Birrell scored from the penalty spot with 15 minutes remaining. Soon after, Tim Dawson scored for the Rams.
Churchill pressed hard for an equaliser, but Monash was able to hold on.
The grand final will be played the Latrobe City Sports Stadium on Saturday from 5pm.
