YARRAM Football-Netball Club was unable to garner enough support to accept its request to join the North Gippsland Football-Netball League next season.
A vote of the 10 club delegates on Monday night was split five-five. The support of seven clubs was required for Yarram to be accepted into the NGFNL.
Yarram has the right to appeal its case to transfer to the NGFNL from the Alberton league to AFL Victoria.
NGFNL general manager Gordon Bayley said the same five clubs had supported the request when an unofficial vote on the matter was held last month.
