TOUCH resumes

TOUCH resumes tomorrow night at Stephenson Park following a three week break to allow Council to carry out maintenance work on the main oval.

At 6.30pm, Nagle College play CAT’s (referee Pink Panthers) while Gippsland Grammar Swans play Phoenix (referee Swithced On Installations).

At 7.20pm, Pink Panthers play Gippsland Grammar Barbarians (referee CAT’s) and Porky’s Pines play Switched On Installations (referee Phoenix).

Whichever team wins tomorrow night’s game between ladder leaders the Barbarians and second placed Panthers, will take top spot on the ladder.

The Barbarians are a young, fast and enthusiastic team while the Panthers have many experienced players in their team, led by David Svarc.

Phoenix, despite sitting on the bottom of the ladder, have shown remarkable improvement as the season has progressed. They have many high class players who lead the team each week.

Phoenix has more qualified referees than the other teams in the competition, with Ralph Raper the referee coach for the association.
