SALE is yet to open its 17 and under account after three rounds of Eastern Regional State League netball.
Last Friday night, Gippsland was too strong for Sale, posting a 39-18 victory.
Alberton continued its winning way, easily accounting for Mid Gippsland, 52-21. Alberton was led by Shannon Dankert, Britt Roffey and Britt Thomas.
North Gippsland made it a hat trick of victories against East Gippsland with a 33-16 win.
Open division
IN the open division, Mid Gippsland White gave it its best shot against the disciplined and extremely skilled Alberton, however the young White team was no match for the 2013 premier.
The young players were given a lesson in how to play the game, going down 66-29.
Both Alberton defenders were named best on court along with goal shooter Hannah Flanders.
Mid Gippsland Green brought in Saskia Heathcote in the absence of state player Ramayer Gourley for the match against North Gippsland.
Still to register a win North Gippsland, had no answers and went down convincingly 62-33 with the combination of Louisa Pratt and Courtney Stevens in defence and Jess Hilliar in attack causing headaches for North.
Morwell Indoor had the bye.
Round four preview
THIS Friday night, Sale will be looking to post its first win and keep Mid Gippsland winless.
Also in the 17 and under division, North Gippsland will have a tough match against Gippsland, while Alberton should cruise to victory against East Gippsland.
Alberton will go into open division round four confident it can defeat Mid Gippsland Green in a rematch of last year’s grand final, Morwell Indoor should add to its winning tally against North Gippsland, while Mid Gippsland White will have the bye.
Games are played every Friday night from 7.15pm at Latrobe City Leisure, Churchill.
