SALE continued its winning run in Gippsland League netball.
The Magpies hit the court running at Drouin, racing away to a 15-5 lead using their skill and smart teamwork in drizzling conditions on Saturday.
After a flying start, the Magpies had to protect their lead while the Hawks tried hard to get back into the game.
Sale went on to win 49-38.
Maffra was not in action last weekend as Warragul is not fielding an A grade team this season.

Woodside was too strong for Glengarry, winning 50-28, as was Gormandale for Yarram, 60-22, Churchill defeated Sale City 58-40 and Traralgon-Tyers United defeated Cowwarr 32-31.

STRATFORD began is East Gippsland premiership defence with a 43-31 win at Lindenow.
Orbost-Snowy Rovers defeated Wy Yung 28-21.
