Stratford and Rosedale progress to netball grand finals after preliminary final victories

STRATFORD'S A grade side has joined its C and D grade teams on grand final day.

The Swans defeated Lakes Entrance 38-36 in the preliminary final on Saturday. The Swans will play Orbost-Snowy Rovers in the A grade grand final this Saturday at Bairnsdale.

Stratford will play Lindenow in the C grade grand final after the Cats defeated Lucknow 31-24.

In D grade, Wy Yung defeated Lakes Entrance 28-16, setting up a grand final against Stratford.

Stratford lost the B grade and under 17s preliminary finals to Wy Yung, 27-16 and 25-23 respectively. The Tigers will play Lakes Entrance in B grade and Orbost-Snowy Rovers in the under 17s.

In the under 15s, Orbost-Snowy Rovers overcame Lakes Entrance 27-14, and will play Wy Yung for the silverware.

Saturday at Bairnsdale City Oval:

A grade: Orbost-Snowy Rovers v Stratford, 2.20pm.

B grade: Lakes Entrance v Wy Yung, 1.05pm.

C grade: Stratford v Lindenow, 11.55am.

D grade: Stratford v Wy Yung, 10.45am.

Under 17s: Orbost-Snowy Rovers v Wy Yung, 9.35am.

Under 15s: Wy Yung v Orbost-Snowy Rovers, 8.25am.

Blues bidding for back-to-back premierships

ROSEDALE booked its place in the North Gippsland A grade netball grand final with a 48-30 victory over Yarram in the preliminary final on Saturday at Churchill.

After overcoming one of the two sides to defeat it this season, the Blues will look to gain revenge over the other in the grand final this Saturday.

The Wildcats defeated the minor premier in the second semi-final by 10 goals.

The Blues are aiming for back-to-back premierships.

Woodside defeated Sale City in the B grade preliminary final 42-33, setting up a grand final against Glengarry.

In C grade, Cowwarr ended Heyfield's season with a 28-27 victory. The Saints will play Traralgon-Tyers United for the premiership.

Rosedale booked a date with Sale City in the C grade grand final after defeating Cowwarr 31-17.

TTU defeated Yarram 31-27 in the under 17s, and will play Heyfield in the grand final.

Sale City was too good for Glengarry in the under 15s, winning 37-17, and will play Heyfield for the premiership.

Saturday at Traralgon Recreation Reserve:

A grade: Woodside v Rosedale, 2.50pm.

B grade: Glengarry v Woodside, 1.30pm.

C grade: TTU v Cowwarr, 12.15pm.

D grade: Sale City v Rosedale, 11am.

Under 17s: Heyfield v TTU, 9.50am.

Under 15s: Heyfield v Sale City, 8.45am.
