Prison sentences for duo who killed former Sale man Jade Goodwin

TWO men facing charges over the death of 39-year-old former local Jade Goodwin were handed prison sentences on Monday.

Crib Point's Brendan McDowall, 53, was sentenced to 10 years and six months jail for the manslaughter of Jade Goodwin in October 2017, and will be eligible for parole after seven-and-a-half years, while Hastings' Shane Heiberg, 35, received eight years' jail with a non-parole period of five years.

Mr Goodwin, who attended Sale High School in the early 1990s and had two young daughters, was fatally bashed and strangled by the men on October 15, 2017.
