ONE of Australia's most well known Olympians dropped into Sale last week, to regale audiences with his incredible gold medal win, and to inspire them to work hard to achieve their dreams.

After coming across a video of Steven Bradbury's unlikely win in the 2002 Winter Olympics, Sale College student leaders Ashia Dawson and Alana Hall-Speight took the initiative to get the man now synonymous with the phrase 'doing a Bradbury' to come and share his story.

Mr Bradbury glided into sporting history at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, after all the other competitors in the men's 1000 metre speed skating final crashed in the last turn, leaving him the only competitor left standing - and therefore holding gold on the podium.
