WELLINGTON Highway Patrol is calling for witnesses to the moments before a red Holden Commodore collided with a tree in Sale on Saturday.

A woman was spotted driving erratically between Wurruk and Sale before being involved in the collision.

The car collided with the tree in Coverdale Drive on the driver's side after mounting the curb just after the Patten St intersection around 5.30pm.

The woman driver, approximately aged in her 30s, was travelling with three young passengers, aged 16 and two aged 11.

All escaped with minor or no injuries.

Anyone who saw erratic driving between Wurruk and Sale is being encouraged to phone Senior Constable King or Constable Worthington at Sale Police Station on 5142 2200.
