Drugs found in intercepted vehicle

DRUGS, a firearm and ammunition were found when police intercepted a vehicle last week.

Sale Police intercepted the vehicle in Stratford at 4am on Friday.

The vehicle came up to a Melbourne address, so it was intercepted regarding COVID-19 compliance.

The driver, a 25-year-old male from Bairnsdale was found to have a cancelled licence.

Potentially seeing drugs, police found amphetamines, believed to be GHB, pills, as well as a firearm and ammunition.

The vehicle was impounded and the male has been remanded to appear at the Sale Magistrates Court.
