Police seek information over Glengarry bottle incident

POLICE are searching for a driver who allegedly flung a bottle from a moving vehicle towards a mobile road safety camera operator.

The operator was parked on Traralgon-Maffra Rd in Glengarry about 7.15pm on December 31 last year.

It's understood that the operator heard a male voice, then a loud crack, as a glass bottle was thrown from a moving vehicle at the windscreen of his vehicle, causing extensive damage.

The victim, a 62-year-old Toongabbie man, was uninjured during the incident.

The vehicle is described as a white dual cab utility, possibly a Nissan Navara D22, with two spotlights, a silver bulbar, black tray and was carrying a blue insulated ice box in the tray.

Police have released images of the incident in the hope that someone may recognise the vehicle.

Officers have been unable to obtain a registration number from the footage.

Investigators urge anyone who recognises the vehicle or who has information to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit an anonymous report online.
