Sunday Anzac Day services across Wellington Shire

Briagolong

A DAWN service will be held at Anzac Park, Avon St, Briagolong, from 6am, followed by a gunfire breakfast at the RSL Log Cabin.

From 9.30am there will be an Anzac Day commemorative service at Anzac Park, Avon St, followed by morning tea at the RSL Log Cabin.

From 2pm, there will be two-up at the Briagolong log cabin. The entry cost is $5, and there is no BYO.

Cowwarr

COWWARR Cricket Club Hotel will be hosting Anzac Day activities on Sunday from 10.30am.

There will be a street parade featuring an Army tank before a memorial service with wreath laying.

A sausage sizzle will be available for lunch at the cost of a gold coin donation to support the local veterans.

There will be a jumping castle for the children, as well as live music from guitarist and vocalist John John and Traralgon band Low Profile.

A fundraising auction will begin at 1pm. Items at the auction have been donated by local businesses and include a large military canvas print, a barbecue, man cave items, a jumbo camp chair, gift vouchers from local businesses, a garden hamper, fishing gear, accommodation vouchers and Harley Davidson merchandise.

All profits from the auction will go to the Diggers Rest Camping charity.

Gormandale

GORMANDALE Mechanics Institute will hold an Anzac Day service at the Gormandale Cenotaph from 10am to 11am.

Loch Sport

LOCH Sport RSL will hold an Anzac Day service at its clubrooms and carpark from 10.30am to 11am.

Heyfield

HEYFIELD RSL will hold an Anzac Day service at the Heyfield Cenotaph from 9am to 10am.

A march will begin from Heyfield Bowls Club and proceed along Temple St, finishing at Heyfield War Memorial Hall.

Unfortunately, because of COVID-19 restrictions, only Australian Defence Force current and former serving members, RSL members, emergency services personnel and the band will be allowed to march.

Relatives, children and grandchildren are being respectfully requested not to march this year. The RSL is also unable to have its usual refreshments post-march.

Maffra

MAFFRA RSL will hold a dawn service from 6am at Maffra Cenotaph, and a march from the Maffra Rotunda from 11.30am.

There will be a commemorative service following the march.

Paradise Beach and Golden Beach

PARADISE Golden Beach Senior Citizens Club will hold an Anzac Day service at the Golden Beach Memorial Wall from 10am to noon.

Sale

SALE RSL and Community Club will hold an Anzac Day service at the Sale War Graves Cemetery from 9am to 9.30am and a march from the Sale clocktower to Sale cenotaph at Sale Memorial Hall from 10.30am to 12.15pm.

Seaspray

SEASPRAY Ratepayers and Progress Association will hold an Anzac Day service at Seaspray Memorial Park from 11am to noon.

Stratford

STRATFORD RSL will hold an Anzac Day service at Stratford Memorial Park from 8.45am to 10am.

Rosedale

BEGINNING at 1.45pm, a march will be along Albert St from Lyon St to the Cenotaph in the Prince Street Reserve for a commemorative service.

Yarram

YARRAM RSL Sub- Branch will host a march at the corner of King St and Commercial Rd, before a service at the Yarram Cenotaph between 11am and noon.
