Last week the following events occurred in Sale, just as our local politicians anticipated.
The Environmental Protection Authority approved an environmental works approval for the construction of a gas conditioning plant by ExxonMobil and BHP-Billiton at Longford.
Wellington Shire Council approved the works application for the construction of the plant.
Neither agency was too concerned about the long-term impacts on the environment and atmosphere. Neither agency was too concerned about completing their community consultation processes.
How did our politicians know in 2012 that all this would come to fruition ready for first soil to be turned in June 2013?
