Gippsland food bowl or mining field?

WONDERFUL news that Gippsland’s Food Plan to supply clean, green produce and dairy to the world will be worth $2 billion plus annually.

Such a shame that the state government, with the mining companies, are planning to cover our agricultural land with coal seam and tight gas mining sites.

We all know that mining and agriculture cannot co-exist despite the spin that is prevalent in the media these days.

The clean uncontaminated water that is the mainstay of Australia’s claim to fame as a producer of healthy, marketable food, will not be available unless the state takes a stand against CSG and tight gas mining.
