LOCAL primary school students were put through their paces by Carlton footballers during a super clinic at Sale Oval on Tuesday.
Students travelled from as far as Traralgon for the clinic, with many Carlton fans taking the opportunity for autographs.
Zach Tuohy kept a watchful eye on students’ kicking technique, while defender Michael Jamison tested students on marking, placing some under the high ball.
Captain Marc Murphy, Matthew Kreuzer and Nick Graham, drafted to the Blues from Gippsland Power, also oversaw marking activities while Tom Bell, Chirs Yarran, Kane Lucas, Kade Simpson and Matthew Watson proved popular with the tackling bags.
Jarrad Waite took students through some core strength exercises, while Sam Docherty and Troy Menzel rounded out the Blues stars at the Sale clinic, overseeing the handball.
The Blues also held super clinics in Bairnsdale, also on Tuesday, and Maffra on Wednesday.
The visit also included a civic reception, hospital visits, a light training and recovery session.
