Free webinars to help Gippslanders live more sustainably

Residents across Gippsland are invited to take part in a free online webinar series focused on practical ways to make homes more comfortable, energy–efficient and sustainable.

The Sustainable Living Series, running throughout 2026, will cover a wide range of topics including solar power and home batteries, all–electric homes, electric vehicles, seasonal home comfort, sustainable building materials, water management and climate–resilient design.

These webinars provide clear, practical advice residents can apply in their own homes, whether people are looking to reduce energy bills, improve comfort or plan future upgrades.

The series is delivered by independent energy experts Renew, in collaboration with Wellington Shire, Bass Coast Shire, South Gippsland Shire, East Gippsland Shire and Latrobe City councils. Each 90–minute online session is free to attend and includes plenty of time for questions.

The first webinar will be held Thursday February 26 with an Introduction to Solar session, followed by topics on home battery storage, all–electric homes, electric vehicles, winter and summer comfort, sustainable building materials, water and greening and more. Sessions are suitable for homeowners, renters, renovators and anyone interested in living more sustainably.

Residents can register for individual sessions or attend multiple webinars across the year.
