Who are these people?

Can you identify any of these workers from Leslies department store in 1935?

The photograph was supplied to Sale Historical Society by Shirley Bushell, niece of two office staff, Mabel and Flo Hoggard, and was taken 1919-20.

The society would love to be able to name some of the workers (or match the picture with the list of names it has).

The image is now on display as part of the exhibition on the Leslie family, which ran large local department stores. The exhibition has a focus on community leader and philanthropist John Widdis Leslie OBE (1919 – 2017).

The Foster Street museum also features an exhibition of portraits by 1870s Sale photographer Albert Bock.
