“Happy birthday to us!”

These were the words that U3A (University of the Third Age) Sale members were singing on Tuesday, May 17.

After a great morning with speaker Jack Winterbottom, the seniors group celebrated with delicious food and a birthday cake.

This was cut by Wil Streckfuss, U3A’s longest serving member.

Publicity officer Trish Broadbear said that U3A’s membership continues to grow.

“There is always room for more and you are warmly welcomed on Tuesdays at 9.45am for a spot of Tai Chi prior to a brief meeting and a talk from one of our special guest speakers,” Ms Broadbear said.

“Twenty-four of us have just returned from a fantastic week at Norfolk Island, where wonderful hospitality was offered, and the scenery was beautiful.”

U3A meet at 55 Raymond Street, Sale (old Aces Building) in Room 7.

There is something on every day of the week. Contact president Georgie on 5144 6035 or Ms Broadbear on 0418 104 840 for further information.
