Roll up, roll up for the news you’ve all been waiting for: clear your calendars folks because the Sale and District Agricultural Society’s Sale Show is back, and it’s set to be better than ever.

It has been a long-awaited two years since the Sale Showgrounds has seen any action, but that’s about to change. The Sale and District Agricultural Society is thrilled to host the 157th annual Sale Show from Friday, October 28 until Sunday, October 30.

The society has been planning and preparing for the 157th Sale Show since the end of 2019, the delay resulting from COVID forcing consecutive cancellations in 2020 and 2021.

With hundreds upon hundreds of hours put into this year’s event, the Sale and District Agricultural Society is quietly confident that the 157th Sale Show will be the best one yet.

All the fan favourites will be returning: monster trucks, fireworks, carnival rides and food trucks galore. There will be show-jumping, pet parades and games.

So get your tickets now, for you should be warned: although tickets will be available at the door, you will be paying a whole $10 more.

Under the roof of the Sale Show pavilion, ignite your senses and admire the art and skills of local contestants. From arts and crafts to jams and pies, there’s bound to be something to catch everyone’s eye.

On top of the oldies and goldies we all love and know, this year brings newcomers to the annual Sale show.

Animal lovers will gather around for the Sale Show’s new wildlife display, which will feature some of the most popular native creatures.

Back under shelter in the Maclachlan Pavilion, the popular food and wine display will make a long-awaited reappearance.

Still many questions remain, such as ‘how much are tickets or what if it’s raining?’

The annual Sale Show proceeds, rain, hail or shine, and as for tickets, well, this year they are all half-price.

Family Show ticket: $20 (two adults and four family members under 15-years-of-age)
