GIPPSLAND Disability Advocacy and Overcoming Obstacles collaborated to organise a dinner and dance at the Vines Winery in Maffra to celebrate International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPWD).
On Thursday, December 8, the Vines put on a delicious two-course meal for people to enjoy, followed by motivational guest speaker, Beau Vernon, and later, the Lovetones band entertained the happy crowd.
Mr Vernon spoke about his story, the challenges he initially faced after becoming a quadriplegic and how a changed mindset has seen him achieve many life goals and continues to do so. His speech was motivational and inspired many to ask questions and leave the night with much positivity.
