SALE Camera Club’s first meeting of the new year was well attended in February, starting with a short and interesting presentation on how to shoot wildlife photography.

Sale Camera Club treasurer John Gwyther provided members with tips in anticipation of the club’s upcoming ‘Wildlife’ in-house competition.

Following this, experienced member Ross Stothers gave a live presentation on how to photograph falling water droplets with interesting resulting effects.

After a short break, the winners of the annual Photo of the Year (POTY) and Digital of the Year (DOTY) were announced. All in-house competition winners (open and novice) from each month’s competition compete for the final result.

The next Sale Camera Club meeting took place on Thursday, (March 2) at the Girl Guides Hall, 118-120 Market Street, Sale.

Meetings start at 7.30pm and run for around two hours, including a mid-meeting break to chat and ask questions while having a cup of tea or coffee.

The results of February’s in-house competition ‘Open Gippsland’ will also be shown.

The club is preparing for two interclub competitions; the VAPS Interclub (where the club is competing against every registered club in Victoria) and the Gippsland Interclub (where the club is competing against five other Gippsland Camera Clubs).

The club is open to new members and guests.
