FRIENDS of Tarra-Bulga National Park volunteers are now proud owners of stylish new softshell jackets, thanks to the support of the state government through the Volunteer Growth Fund.

Group president David Akers commented that, “volunteers from our group are the public face of the park and they can also be worn anytime around town and help raise the profile of our group.”

The jackets will be available to all volunteers once they have completed five days of service.

Friends of Tarra-Bulga always welcome interested people to come and volunteer in the Park.

“Some people just like to volunteer in the visitor centre and enjoy spending time up here interacting with and providing information to the diverse range of visitors we get, while others enjoy hands-on activities like tree-planting, weeding and learning about the flora and fauna,” Mr Akers said.
