TOMORROW (May 24), ‘The Gippy Girls’ comprised of Ana Jones, Gemma Lambe, Marie Frew from Sale and Tanya Cunningham from Stratford, are hiking for healthy hearts by taking part in Coastrek 2024.

The event is raising money for the Heart Foundation.

Along with thousands of other Coastrekkers, mostly women, we will be walking a really, really long way to improve our own health, fitness and wellbeing – and fundraise for heart health.

The Coastrek is a 20km charity walk will take place along the Mornington Peninsula between Cape Schanck to Point Nepean. Walkers can hike either hike 50km, 30km or 20km. The ‘Twilight’ 20km distance takes place between Sorrento and Point Nepean. So far, the total funds raised of the $1.3 million target sits at $593,003.

Heart disease remains the leading single cause of death in Australia, taking the life of one Australian every 30 minutes. Thankfully, you can make a difference by donating and helping me raise life-saving funds for the Heart Foundation.

There will be very sore legs, sweaty hair and maybe a blister or two. There will also be meaningful chats, lots of laughs, camaraderie and connection, and a sweet, sweet feeling of exhilaration when we smash our Coastrek goal after months of training and prep.

All fundraising from Coastrek in 2024 will go towards supporting the Heart Foundation in their mission to help end heart disease. Thank you for supporting our team. Every donation helps!
