The Valencia Hall’s next act is Scottish group Dallahan on Thursday, March 26, from 8pm
One of the headline acts at this year’s Port Fairy Festival pay a return visit to the Valencia Hall.
Dallahan wowed the audience last time. Guitarist and singer Jack Badcock, accordionist Andrew Waite, are this year joined by 2022 BBC young trad musician of the year Eryn Rae on fiddle and Australia’s own string wizard Paddy Montgomery on mandolin.
Forged out of the traditional music scenes of Scotland and Ireland, yet influenced by the sounds of the Balkans, North America, and far beyond, Dallahan has spent over a decade guiding audiences through a musical world tour of its own making. The group’s dazzling live show, marked by restless creativity and stunning virtuosity, has come to be defined by its refusal to sit still.
From the moment its debut album When The Day Is On The Turn arrived in 2014, Dallahan quickly found itself propelled onto the international stage. Extensive touring across Europe and North America followed, with appearances at major festivals including Milwaukee Irish Fest (USA), Festival de Ortiguiera (ESP) Celtic Connections (SCO), Tønder Festival (DK), Festival Dranouter (BE), Woodford Folk Festival (AUS), and so many more.
Tickets to hear Dallahan at the Valencia Hall cost $35 each. For bookings phone 0439 454 428.
