RISING floodwaters forced the closure of roads this week.
Bengworden Rd was closed between Stratford-Bengworden and Clydebank Rds because of flooding. Drivers travelling through the area have been advised to seek an alternative route.
Stewarts Lane near Llowalong Rd, Maffra was closed at Weirs Crossing on the Avon River because of rising floodwaters.
Further upstream, Boisdale-Valencia Creek Rd closed at the Avon River and Smyths Rd at the Valencia Creek because of rising flood water.
It came as flooding reached minor levels along the Mitchell River. A final flood warning was issued yesterday morning.
The Mitchell River at Glenaladale peaked above the minor flood level of three metres Tuesday evening. Stream levels have since fallen.
Stream levels were expected to fall below the minor flood level at Bairnsdale on Wednesday night.
