TWO people are have been charged following an alleged assault and affray in Maffra on Saturday.
Police allege a woman aged in her mid-40s was assaulted by three women at a property in Maffra about midday.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A man, also aged in his mid 40s was allegedly assaulted by a man in his mid-20s during the same incident.
A woman aged in her early 20s and the man aged in his mid 20s have been charged and bailed to appear at Sale Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
WELLINGTON Crime Investigation Unit is again urging people to secure their houses following a spate of burglaries in the area.
Sale police suggest people take security measures including installing sensor lights, locking all windows and doors, leaving a light on in a main room if going out for the evening and asking neighbours to keep an eye on the property.
Police also suggest people not post information about pending holidays on social media.
