A WOMAN who failed to stop at a T-intersection near Airly about 7am Monday morning drove into a channel on the opposite side of the road.
Police allege the woman, travelling south along Hagans Rd towards Sale in heavy fog, failed to stop at the Bengworden Rd intersection and drove into a channel.
Police said the female driver and her passenger were not injured in the accident.
Police are reminding people to drive to conditions.
SALE police were disappointed with driver behaviour on Friday and Saturday, with three people allegedly caught drink driving in the Wellington police service area.
Two of the drivers were issued with infringement notices and one driver will appear at Sale Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
SALE police are reminding drivers to come to a complete stop at stop signs, or risk facing a $295 fine and three demerit points.
Police said they had issued many infringement notices recently for drivers failing to stop at stop signs.
